Journals

The IET Journals are refereed publications reporting research and technical developments in many fields of engineering.

Electronics Letters is widely recognised as being the leading journal in its field for rapid publication of short international research papers at the cutting edge of electronics technology. All issues of Electronics Letters are now available on the IET Digital Library from volume 1, issue 1, published in March 1965 through to the very latest issues published during 2010.

Micro & Nano Letters is an online only journal launched in 2006. Micro & Nano Letters specialises in the express publication of short research papers concentrating on the latest advances in the science, engineering, technology and applications of miniature and ultraminiature structures and systems that have at least one dimension ranging from a few tens of micrometers to a few nanometers. The journal offers a rapid route for international dissemination of high quality research findings generated by researchers from both the micro and nano communities.

IET Research Journals (formerly IEE Proceedings) are published under 20 titles containing current, original contributions in electrical, electronics, computing, control and communications technology. IET Research Journals are available on the IET Digital Library with a backfile from 1994 to the present.

New Journals Launching in 2011

IET Electrical Systems in Transportation is aimed at all aspects of electrical power systems in modern transport applications including generation, storage, distribution and utilisation. The scope extends to all sectors of transportation: aerospace, marine (including sub-sea), automotive or land-based and rail. The central theme of the journal is to focus on the system and sub-system aspects of electrical energy including system architectures and integration, energy management, control and protection.

IET Wireless Sensor Systems is aimed at the growing field of wireless sensor networks and distributed systems which has been expanding rapidly in recent years and is evolving into a multi-billion dollar industry. The journal will give a platform to researchers and academics in the field and is intended to cover the research, engineering, technological developments, innovative deployment of distributed sensor and actuator systems.

Launching in March 2011 and published quarterly, these brand new, peer-reviewed titles are accepting manuscripts for publication in Volume 1 now!

Publication Frequency Increases for 2010

As part of its ongoing commitment to authors and subscribers, the IET is pleased to announce the following publication frequency increases from 2010 onwards:

Journal Archive Digitisation

The IET has digitised its entire journals archive from the start of IEE publications in 1872 up to 1993. The complete journals archive is now available on the IET Digital Library.
