Scope
IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution is intended as a forum for the publication and discussion of current practice and future developments in electric power generation, transmission and distribution. Practical papers in which examples of good present practice can be described and disseminated are particularly sought. Papers of high technical merit relying on mathematical arguments and computation will be considered, but authors are asked to relegate, as far as possible, the details of analysis to an appendix. The scope of the journal includes the following:
- Design of transmission and distribution plants
- Operation and control of power generation
- Power system management and planning
- Power system operation and control
- Power system measurement and correction
- Computer applications and computational intelligence in power flexible AC transmission systems
Featured Paper
Market power analysis in the oligopoly electricity markets under network constraints, Vol.4, No.2, p.244–256

Citing this Journal
IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution is usually cited by the abbreviated title 'IET Gener. Transm. Distrib.' Every article in this journal is assigned a Crossref DOI, which is displayed on the article abstract page.
Previous Title
IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution was previously published as IEE Proceedings Generation, Transmission & Distribution. Following the merger on March 31st 2006 between the IEE (Institution of Electrical Engineers) and the IIE (The Institution of Incorporated Engineers) to form the Institution of Engineering and Technology, the IEE Proceedings suite of journals changed name at the beginning of 2007 to reflect the fact that they were now published by the Institution of Engineering and Technology. IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution starts from Volume 1, Issue 1 from January 2007 onwards. All other benefits of publishing in the journal, including our worldwide readership and database coverage, remain unchanged.
Online subscribers to IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution can also access all backfile issues of IEE Proceedings Generation, Transmission & Distribution from 1994-2006 as part of their current online subscription.
